1 Important note

The installation can only be done with a Windows computer.
The database cannot be installed with a Mac computer.
The device can not read USB flash drives when they are written by a Mac. Because the Mac is writing additional (hidden) files.

 

2 Identifying device

First, check and identify your device if it was really produced by manufacturer Harman/Becker.
Does your Citroën NaviDrive 3D (NG4) looks like in that picture?



Take also a look to software version (press Setup key > System > Software version).



You can only use the database with the shown device above.
Devices produced by manufacturer Magneti Marelli are not supported (RT3, RT4, RT5, RT6, e-MyWay, SMEG, SMEG+).

Identify your device before purchase. Refund excluded after download started of full database.

 

3 Download speed camera data

1. Go to our product page for Citroën NaviDrive 3D.
   We offer only data of fixed speed cameras.
   Press button Download.

   

2. Save the file citroen-navidrive.zip on your hard disc.
   
   Note: In most cases, the file is saved directly to the download folder of the computer.
   Depending on your browser settings, sometimes you can choose the save location by yourself.

3. Unpack the zip file.
   Unpacking on a Windows computer: right-klick on the zip file > Extract all...

4. You get the folder pkgdb and the file config.nfm.

 

4 Preparing USB flash drive

5. Connect an USB flash drive to the computer.

6. Reformat the USB flash drive as FAT32 (not: FAT/FAT16 or exFAT).
   Do not use the quick format.
   Reformat as FAT32 before using is strictly recommended.
   
   Important note: Always reformat, even if you have newly purchased the USB flash drive.
   
   

   

7. Copy and paste the folder pkgdb and the file config.nfm into the root directory of the USB flash drive.
   Now it should look like this on your USB flash drive:
   
   

   

8. Safely remove the USB flash drive from the computer.

 

5 Installation of speedcam data on navigation device

9. Connect the USB flash drive to the NaviDrive 3D device.

10. Press NAV key on the device.

11. Open the menu Navigation menu > Settings > Update Personal POI.
    Choose the USB as data source.
    Import new Personal POI.

12. Reboot the device.

13. Press again NAV key.

14. Go to Navigation menu > Settings > Set parameters for risk areas.
    
    

    

    

    

15. Enable all options: Show on map, Visual alert and Audible alert.

16. Our speedcams files work with a direction of travel dependent warning function. You only get alerts if the radar trap oversees your current driving direction.
    
    

    

 

6 Updating speed camera data

Repeat all steps of the guide above to update speed cameras in your device.
We recommend to update the data once a month to drive safely.

 

7 Removing speed camera data

Download that file to remove speed camera data from your NaviDrive 3D device.
