Attention
There is an Alpine software update available for INE-W920R, INE-W925R, INE-W928R and INE-W977BT.
Reason: The navigation was outsourced to a memory card (SD or microSD) because of less internal space.
The software update makes the speedcam installation more easier.

Is that Alpine software update already installed into your device?
Copy and paste only the file SpeedCamText.txt into the folder Speedcam.

Preparation

  1. Log in to SCDB.info with your access key and go to product page for Alpine IINE-W series. Load the file alpine-ine-w92xr.zip to your PC.

  2. Unzip the file alpine-ine-w92xr.zip with a suitable program – we recommend WINZIP or WINRAR - into a directory of your choice.

  3. Copy and paste the folder autorun and the file AlpineAUTORUN.inf into the root directory of an empty (Micro) SD card.

  4. Safely remove the (Micro) SD card from your PC.

  5. Insert the (Micro) SD card into INE.
    INE-W920R, INE-W925R: Remove the detachable faceplate to access the Micro SD card slot.
    INE-W928R, INE-W977BT: Open the display to access the SD card slot on the right hand side.

  6. Apply the detachable faceplate (INE-W920R, INE-W925R) or close the display (INE-W928R, INE-W977BT) and power the unit on by turning on the ignition.

  7. Synctool starts up. Press the button "Collect device information".

  8. Press “OK” once "Update or Backup successfully completed without errors".

  9. Press "Quit".

  10. Press "Yes" to quit synctool.

  11. Remove the (Micro) SD card, then press “Continue”. Alpine INE-W92xR restarts automatically.

 

Speedcam installation
  1. Connect the (Micro) SD card to your PC. Copy and paste the folder BACKUP and all subfolders into the folder autorun. It should look like that.

    Important: Do NOT copy and paste folder autorun to the (Micro) SD card again.

  2. Safely remove the (Micro) SD card from your PC and insert it into INE-W92xR as described above. Power the unit on by turning on the ignition.

  3. Synctool starts up. Press the button “Copy updates to your device”.

  4. Press “Yes” to initialize the update.

  5. Press “OK” once "Update or Backup successfully completed without errors".

  6. Press "Quit".

  7. Press "Yes" to quit synctool.

  8. Remove the (Micro) SD card, then press “Continue”. Alpine INE-W92xR restarts automatically.

  9. Finally go to Settings > Sound and Warnings > Alert Point Settings and enable Alert Point Warnings (real GPS fix is required).

    Select "When approaching" (recommended) or "Only when speeding" for audio warning.
